Backloop one-footed

Dieter van der Eyken demonstrates the one-footed backloop

Kick once with your foot, put it back in the strap, and then land safely. This works best with a high backloop, as Dieter van der Eyken demonstrates in this recording at the World Cup in Gran Canaria.

The foot should be positioned correctly when landing, as landing with only one foot in the strap can quickly overload the ankle. Therefore, you should practice jumping on one leg step by step so that you can develop a routine.

When jumping straight ahead, simply pull your front foot out of the strap very briefly and immediately put it back in. Once you feel confident, you can move your foot further away from the strap.
