Storm Windsurfing in West Sussex

On September 3, gusts of over 50 knots blew from the west across the beach at Goring-by-Sea in the English Channel. On the English coast, this means wind from the right. Sam Latham, owner of Worthing Watersports, was out sailing with a 3.4 sail and took on the conditions. Under 'normal' conditions, things look different here, as Sam reveals: "Goring-by-Sea in front of Sea Lane Café is one of the best wave sailing beaches in Worthing, West Sussex. On higher tides, the waves get much bigger, but this session was all about strong wind and big moves."
