Kono
Sarah-Quita Offringa shows the kono
With the Kono, the sail is ducked while you are still riding with the feet in the foot straps, then luffed with the sail held back and at the same time the jump is initiated while carving upwind (the rear hand pushes the sail to maximise the lift).
The body is the center of gravity and continues to move in the original direction of travel during the jump. The board and sail swing into a flying position that resembles the second section of a clew first backloop. Touchdown, shift the sails, job completed.
The slow-motion video shows the move exactly from the front, ideal for understanding the kono's motion sequence. The second half of the video is mirrored so that you can also understand the trick from the other riding direction.
