Flo Jung shows the frontside aerial

The frontside aerial while riding waves in sideoffshore conditions. This wind direction is ideal for practicing aerials. In the video you can see that Flo hits the lip of the wave at exactly the right moment to get the maximum jump height.

When landing on white water (as shown here in the video), a delicate balance between shifting your weight on the tail and on the mast base is required. The board slides a little sideways on the foam of the breaking wave before the fins grab properly again. Those who master this have a good chance of completing the aerial and continue riding the wave.
