The aerial on the frontside wave ride

Flo Jung shows take-off and landing of an aerial in sideoffshore conditions. The take-off is timed just right at the steepest point of the wave, the breaking wave lip kicks him back in front of the wave.

Land on the flat in front of the foam. When landing on the flat, make sure that you don't get 'stuck', but shift your weight to the mast base and lean backwards to continue sailing on the downwind course.

Getting stuck in the footstraps with power in the sail and the wave at your back can lead to nasty falls (risk of knee and foot injuries).
